We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help operate CareBudget. If you contact us or submit a lead form, we may follow up by phone, email, or text about caregiver-pay programs. To request deletion or to stop hearing from us, email support@carebudget.org or reply STOP to any text.
1. Who we are
CareBudget is operated by Balance & Wellness L.L.C., a Minnesota limited liability company based in Burnsville, MN ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, respond to one of our ads, or contact us.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- •Contact details you give us: Your name, email address, phone number, and similar details — for example when you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, email us, or speak with us during a consultation.
- •What you tell us about your situation: Information you choose to share about the person who needs care and your caregiving goals, so we can help you understand which programs may be relevant.
- •Technical and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referral source, and similar data collected automatically through server logs and analytics tools.
- •Existing-customer account data: If you previously purchased a report, we retain your assessment data, report data, account records, and authentication tokens so you can continue to access it through the portal.
- •Support and consultation communications: Any information you provide when you email support@carebudget.org or talk with us.
3. How we use your information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- •To respond to your inquiry and follow up with you — by phone, email, or text message — about caregiver-pay and Medicaid home-care programs.
- •To provide consultations and help you understand the programs that may fit your situation.
- •To maintain portal access and existing reports for past customers, and to send magic-link sign-in emails.
- •To measure the performance of our advertising and improve our content and site.
- •To monitor site performance, diagnose errors, and maintain security.
- •To comply with legal obligations.
4. Service providers we share data with
We share personal information with the following categories of service providers that process data on our behalf. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- •Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — advertising and lead forms. When you submit one of our Instant Forms or interact with our ads, Meta provides us the information you entered and measures ad performance. Meta's privacy policy governs their own handling of your data.
- •Supabase — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure. Stores lead and account records, existing report data, and authentication tokens.
- •Vercel — hosting and deployment. Serves the website and processes server-side requests. Vercel Analytics collects anonymized usage data.
- •Resend — email delivery. Receives your email address to send transactional and follow-up messages.
- •Twilio — text-message (SMS) delivery. If you provide a phone number, we may use Twilio to send you text messages about your inquiry.
- •Sentry — error monitoring. May receive technical data (IP address, browser, error context) when errors occur.
5. Marketing and follow-up communications
If you submit a lead form, request information, or otherwise contact us, we may follow up with you by phone, email, or text message to discuss caregiver-pay and home-care programs. You can opt out at any time — reply STOP to any text message, or email support@carebudget.org asking us to stop. We will honor opt-out requests promptly and within the time required by applicable law.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
CareBudget uses the following tracking mechanisms:
- •Supabase Auth cookies: Session cookies used to authenticate portal sign-in for existing customers. These are essential for that part of the service to function.
- •Meta Pixel and Conversions API: We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API to measure the performance of our advertising and understand how visitors interact with our site. This may set cookies and share limited event data (such as page views) with Meta.
- •Vercel Analytics: Collects anonymized, aggregated page-view and performance data.
- •localStorage: We may store a referral or campaign code in your browser to understand how you found us.
7. Data retention
We retain your data as follows:
- •Lead and contact records: Retained for as long as needed to follow up with you and for our business records, then deleted or anonymized.
- •Existing-customer reports and account data: Retained so you can continue to access your report through the portal, until you ask us to delete it.
- •Payment records (for past or future paid services): Retained as required by applicable tax and financial record-keeping laws (typically 7 years).
- •Server logs and technical data: Retained for up to 90 days for debugging and security purposes.
- •Support and consultation communications: Retained for as long as needed to assist you and for our records.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- •Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- •Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal information. If you have a purchased report, deletion means you will lose access to that report permanently.
- •Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- •Opt out of communications: Reply STOP to any text message, or email support@carebudget.org, to stop follow-up phone calls, emails, or texts.

9. State privacy rights
If you are a resident of California, Minnesota, or another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and share, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any state-specific privacy right, email support@carebudget.org with your request and state of residence. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Children's privacy
CareBudget is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact support@carebudget.org and we will delete it promptly.
11. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure infrastructure provided by our service providers. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. If we make material changes that affect how we handle your personal information, we will notify you by email (if we have your email address) or by placing a notice on the site before the changes take effect.
