1. Company identity

CareBudget is operated by Balance & Wellness L.L.C., a Minnesota limited liability company based in Burnsville, MN. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Balance & Wellness L.L.C. "You" and "your" refer to the individual using CareBudget.

2. What the service is

CareBudget is an informational resource that explains, in plain language, how Medicaid waivers, self-directed care programs, and caregiver-pay pathways work — primarily in Minnesota. We may also offer consultations to help families understand which programs may be relevant to their situation. The information on this site is general and educational. It is a starting point for further research, not a definitive or authoritative statement about your specific eligibility. Program rules change frequently, and details vary by individual circumstance and by county.

3. What the service is NOT

CareBudget does not provide and should not be relied upon as legal advice, medical advice, insurance advice, tax advice, financial planning, or official eligibility determinations. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any federal, state, or local government agency. We are not a government agency. No output from CareBudget constitutes an application for benefits, a guarantee of eligibility, or an official determination of any kind. You must confirm all program details, eligibility requirements, and enrollment processes directly with the relevant state or county agency or a qualified professional.

4. No guarantees

CareBudget does not guarantee eligibility, enrollment, approval, benefit amounts, waitlist timing, payment amounts, or any other outcome. Program rules, funding, waitlists, and county-level administration change frequently and without notice. The information in your report reflects the data available at the time it was generated and may not reflect current conditions. Any dollar amounts, budget ranges, or pay rates shown in your report are based on published program data and are not a promise of what you will receive.

5. User responsibility

You are solely responsible for verifying all information in your report with the relevant state, county, or federal agency and with qualified professionals before taking any action. CareBudget provides informational starting points, not verified conclusions. You should not make financial, legal, medical, or care decisions based solely on the contents of a CareBudget report without independent verification.

6. User representations

By using CareBudget, you certify that:

• •You are at least 18 years old or are using the service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
• •Any information you provide to us is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• •You understand that the relevance of any guidance we provide depends on the accuracy of the information you share.
• •You will not use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could harm, disable, or impair the service.
• •You will not provide information about a third party without their knowledge and consent.

7. Prohibited content

When you contact us or share information with us, please do not send any of the following:

• •Social Security numbers (SSNs)
• •Medicare or Medicaid member IDs
• •Bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or other financial account details
• •Full medical records, diagnosis codes, or protected health information beyond what is necessary for a general conversation about programs

8. Services and fees

Browsing this website and reading our informational content is free. We offer one paid service — a flat-fee Minnesota caregiver-funding navigation consultation. Its fee and what it includes are disclosed to you before you agree to pay, and payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. There is no subscription and no recurring charge unless we tell you otherwise and you agree.

9. Refunds for paid services

If you purchase a paid service from us and are unsatisfied, contact support@carebudget.org and we will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue, including issuing a refund where appropriate. Customers who previously purchased a report retain access to it through the portal; questions about a past purchase can be sent to support@carebudget.org.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Balance & Wellness L.L.C., its owners, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of benefits, loss of income, emotional distress, or costs of procuring substitute services — arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use CareBudget, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Balance & Wellness L.L.C. and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of CareBudget; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) any information you provide through the service.

12. Dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation by contacting support@carebudget.org. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution in the state or federal courts located in Dakota County, Minnesota, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. We will not separately notify you of changes. Your continued use of CareBudget after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
